1) Capillary Electrophoresis

(1) With more efficient heat dissipation than slab gels, capillaries permit higher run voltages, resulting in faster run times.

(2) Capillary electrophoresis enables the use of electrokinetic injection to load samples into the capillaries.

(3) Samples are simultaneously injected into the parallel 24 capillary array in less than 30 seconds.

(4) The most dramatic advantage of capillary electrophoresis is the elimination on manual operations, resulting in increased run-to-run consistency and reliability.

2) Detection System

(1) The emitted fluorescent light is collected, separated by wavelength and focused onto a charged-coupled device (CCD) or equivalent.

(2) The fluorescent light is collected and dispersed across the CCD or equivalent, the data is transferred to the instrument computer and then undergoing chemometric algorithmic processing, the data must be capable of being transformed into up to six or more electropherograms.

3) Laser : Long-life, single-line 505 nm, solid-state laser excitation source.

6) System Consumables

(1) Capillary Arrays

① The internally uncoated capillaries are supplied in assemblies of 24 capillaries per array, with a built-in frame for easy installation.

② Ǵ Ā Arrays are avaiable in 36cm and 50cm capillary lengths to support multiple applications and run methodologies.

③ Ǵ Ā The 50cm array has been optimized for many applications for use with POP-7 polymer and specific run modules.

(2) Performance Optimized Polymers
